The fashion trend for Fall/Winter are as follows :

Leather is taking the lead this fall. Leather pants, leather skirts, leather gloves – studs. It’s the rocker look.

Tall Boots - you don’t have to wait for cold weather to start wearing boots. The great thing about fall is the choices in footwear. Wear them with slim pants or a skirt.

Plaids are a hit this year. Even in accessories such as handbags and umbrellas.

Slim Pants, Pencil Skirt  is a great way to spice up your wardrobe. Wear it as part of a suit or pair it with a top in the same color and layer it with a sweater. If you aren’t slim don’t wear slim pants or jeans too tight or with a really narrow leg. You need to know your bodyshape and wear what is suitable for you. 

Metallic is still popular this fall. Accessorize with metallic or choose a metallic top.

Ruffled blouses are very popular and look great under a jacket for work. They can also be worn with jeans for a more casual look.

Shoulders are the focal point this fall with large shoulders in jackets and one shoulder tops. You can mix & match blouses like that with contrasting colors.
