Lips come in a multitude of sizes and shapes. To make your lips look as good as they can it’s important to take into consideration your lip’s size and shape, lipstick color and application.
Preparing the lips: Lipstick glides on better and looks better on lips that are smooth and free of dead skin. A lip exfoliate or lip mask will get rid of chapped lips. The key to smooth lips is prevention and having a natural look.

Wear lipstick or lip balm daily to protect your lips.

Those who skin has cool undertones (pink based) look best in pinks and fuchsia. Lipstick should also match in intensity - light skin and hair - wear lighter lipstick; dark skin and hair - wear darker lipstick.
A Strong Base: To create a strong base use foundation as an undercoat and then line the lips with lip liner. Fill in the lips using two coats. Apply as needed.
The Setting: As a rule of thumb, a lighter matte lipstick is more appropriate for the office; while shimmer and shine are more suitable for evening.
Lipstick Tricks: Darker lipsticks will make lips look smaller and gloss will make them appear larger. Don’t go out over the lip line to make lips appear larger.
